Laucke Siebein/Type is a type foundry. Here, our fonts can be tested and licensed. Additionally, all fonts are available as trial downloads. We are open to collaborations with other (type) designers and developers. In this spirit, we see the website as a platform for experiments and the promotion of typography-related projects.
Randone
Randone — Achim Reichert. We’re excited to present Randone, a typeface from Achim Reichert’s remarkable body of work. Available in six weights – from Light to Bold – each with its own slanted counterpart. Randone is the new Futura.
Guida
Styles
Guida — As passionate travellers, Sebastian Bissinger and Laure Boer (BANK™) extensively reference, collect, and observe typefaces applied to road, train, and wayfinding vernacular on their travels. It was through this constant research that they fell upon the initial reference for Guida—an Italian license plate.
Oughtred
LS Oughtred — named after the English mathematician and inventor of the slide rule William Oughtred — is available as a variable font or in the styles Left, Regular, and Right. Oughtred is made to move.
Mimesis
Mimesis — Available in Regular, Italic, and Bold styles. Its design is idiosyncratic, defies indifference, and demands skillful typographic application. In smaller sizes, Mimesis offers impressive readability. When used generously, it unfolds its qualities as a display typeface, pushing typographic possibilities to surprising limits through varying letter spacing and line heights. The typeface’s potential is further expanded through OpenType features such as Stylistic Sets, which offer straight alternates or blunt terminals, among other options.
Notch
Notch — Made to listen, imagine a typeface visualizing to synthetic sounds. It is a constructed and variable typeface orchestrating its appearance by four visual axes: Notch shifts from sharp to rounded corners, Slope adds weight/volume, Gain amplifies weight unproportionally and on top Band provokes conical shapes. The four dimensions could of course interplay and shift their styles dynamically.
